ReGen Noosa Wellbeing and Community Hub Land Management Plan
Noosa Shire Council
Purpose
CPR Group was engaged by Noosa Shire Council to prepare a Land Management Plan (LMP) for the proposed ReGen Noosa Wellbeing and Community Hub at Noosa District Sports Complex. The LMP was designed to ensure the hub’s development aligns with the land’s designated purpose and complies with state legislation and local planning frameworks. The plan focused on integrating sport, recreation, allied health and community services while preserving the site’s recreational value and enhancing public access.
Approach
CPR Group followed a structured approach to deliver a comprehensive LMP that considered the environmental, social and economic aspects of the site. The methodology included:
Evaluating the existing uses of the land, assessing how proposed developments would align with the primary purpose of the reserve
Conducting detailed stakeholder consultations, including engagement with the local community, sporting bodies and allied health organisations
Addressing land management challenges such as vegetation, fauna and habitat management, as well as infrastructure and site maintenance requirements
Preparing a clear, actionable plan that outlined proposed developments and ensured compliance with the Land Act 1994 and relevant policies
Outcomes
The land management plan provided Noosa Shire Council with a clear roadmap for the sustainable development of the ReGen Noosa Wellbeing and Community Hub. It established a framework that balanced recreational and community use with environmental sustainability and compliance with state and local legislation. The plan ensured that the proposed developments would enhance public access, provide valuable community services and support ongoing recreational activities at the site while addressing key land management issues. The LMP positioned Noosa Shire Council to move forward confidently with the project, offering long-term benefits to the community and the region.
