Purpose
Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation engaged CPR Group to investigate the feasibility of establishing a separate enterprise dedicated to the repair and maintenance of their managed property portfolio. The aims of the initiative included to:
Streamline the current time-intensive internal administration processes to provide quicker and more cost-effective services to tenants
Provide employment opportunities to the Aboriginal community.
Following the feasibility study, CPR Group developed a business case and implementation methodology to guide Gunida Gunyah to a successful project outcome and lasting change.
Approach
The Gunida Gunyah feasibility project leveraged comprehensive methodologies for a detailed analysis. Employing CPR Group’s expertise in feasibility studies, the approach involved in-depth data collection, comprehensive stakeholder engagement, onsite investigations and detailed data analysis using Power BI. This process extracted actionable insights, shaping the project's feasibility, options analysis and recommendations.
CPR Group worked closely with Gunida Gunyah to develop and compare viable options for the management of their property portfolio recognising the constraints imposed by operating in a regional environment where respect of cultural sensitivities is critical.
Outcomes
This project has yielded a strategic and informative feasibility study and business case, empowering Gunida Gunyah with valuable insights and the detailed data needed to move forward with their project. The feasibility process provided a comprehensive analysis, where various opportunities were explored and clear recommendations were formulated providing guidance and direction for both present and future decision-making.
The Power Bi data analysis enabled Gunida Gunyah to negotiate informed service levels and appropriate prices to ensure the provision of repair and maintenance services to their clients at a cost-effective level.
