Purpose
Mount Isa Amateur Netball Association (MIANA) recognised the need for a clear direction for the next three years and enlisted the support of CPR Group to craft a strategic plan. The purpose of this project was to provide MIANA with a well-defined roadmap for its future endeavours, building on the progress made in recent years. The plan outlined MIANA's strategic priorities and laid out key actions to achieve these objectives.
Approach
The project involved a comprehensive approach, including the facilitation of an in-person planning workshop with relevant club personnel. This workshop delved into the core purpose of MIANA, conducted a dynamic SWOT analysis, identified key strategic pillars and developed a detailed action plan to guide the realisation of strategic outcomes. It also entailed the creation of an online member questionnaire and a critical analysis of MIANA's annual financial statements for the past five years. The culmination of these efforts resulted in the preparation of a strategic plan, an action plan and a visual strategic planning poster.
Outcomes
The Mount Isa Netball Strategic Plan serves as a guiding document for MIANA, providing a clear roadmap for the association's strategic priorities and actionable steps to achieve them over the next three years. This plan builds on the significant improvements in governance, administration, communication, club support and financial stability that MIANA has achieved in recent years. With a focus on the future success of the association, the strategic plan positions MIANA to continue its growth and development, ensuring it remains a vibrant and successful netball organisation serving its members and the Mount Isa community effectively.
