Onboarding Checklist

Onboarding is a process, not a single meeting. A good start begins before day one, gives people the right information at the right time, and continues with practical support through their first month.

This checklist is designed to help new board members, committee members and volunteers feel welcomed, prepared and ready to contribute. Use it as a starting point and adapt it to the role. A board member will need more governance and organisational context, while a general volunteer may need a shorter induction focused on their role, safety and who to ask for help.
