As well as a presentation on Logan City Council grant programs, this year’s forum covered recent changes to incorporation legislation in Queensland and what this means for community organisations and sport and recreation clubs in Logan City.

After 13 years without change, Queensland’s Associations Incorporation Act 1981 has undergone a comprehensive review. The Associations Incorporation and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2020 was passed by Queensland Parliament in June 2020 and introduced changes that affect several areas of the rules and constitutions of every incorporated association in Queensland. Some changes have already taken effect, with the remainder coming into force in 2023.
