Club Success Story | Sunshine Coast Gympie Senior Rugby League
A recent highlight for our governance team was the successful completion of a constitution review for the Sunshine Coast Gympie Senior Rugby League, a company limited by guarantee. The league engaged us to modernise and simplify their existing constitution, originally prepared by CPR Group. Working closely with a small, dedicated working group, we revised the document to improve clarity, remove outdated content and align with contemporary governance standards. The working group then took the lead in presenting the updated version to the board and club delegates, who represent each of the league’s affiliated clubs.
The updated constitution received unanimous support, with 100% of club delegates voting in favour of adoption at a recent general meeting. Feedback from the league was overwhelmingly positive, particularly noting that the new constitution was significantly easier to read and understand. Most importantly, it delivered on their key objective; a clear, functional and accessible governance document that supports strong decision-making and efficient operations.
